Vail Ski Patrol

Recently, Channel 9 News, posted a video about the dedication and training the Vail Ski Patrol does in case a skier has a sudden cardiac arrest. Because of the training and the 24 AEDs spread throughout the mountain the Vail Ski Patrol are able to resuscitate cardiac arrest victims at a rate 6 times the national survival rate.

It “can happen to any child,” one parent warns – but the chance of surviving it rises dramatically if an automated external defibrillator is nearby and accessible.
