Your Donation Could Save A Life

Every single year, nearly 400,000 people die as a result of a sudden cardiac arrest…

And a large portion of these innocent people could be saved if they were around someone with the training to perform CPR.

In fact, it is estimated that the survival rate could be doubled if immediately treated with CPR and a defibrillator.

The sad truth about these deaths is that in many cases the victims drop down in front of their families who have to watch them helplessly without the knowledge to save them.

That is why we have made it our mission at Starting Hearts to provide life saving training to families just like those and others so that they never have to watch helplessly as someone falls victim to what many people don’t realize is the leading cause of natural death in the United States.

Your donation today could be the difference between someone having the training needed to save a life, or them having to stand by while another victim falls dead.

I Was Saved… But So Many Others Won’t Be

Betty Neal thought that she was in for a typical night, but that is when disaster struck…

Before she new what had happened, she was on the floor battling for her life. That is when her roommate walked in, and luckily for Betty, that roommate knew CPR.  Betty’s roommate performed CPR with one hand while dialing 9-1-1 with the other, and if it was not for the life saving treatment she received, Betty Neal may not have survived to tell her story. Unfortunately, not everyone gets as lucky as Betty. In fact, the majority of people who collapse from a sudden cardiac arrest are not around someone with the training needed to keep them alive, and by the time the paramedics get there, it may be too late.

Donate today and be the difference so that we can create even more stories just like Betty’s!
